Rosa Mystica Spiritual Centre, a Christian Guest house is seeking to fill the following positions as shown below:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcoming Guests to the Centre ensuring that each guest is given maximum customer care and that all information needed to make visitors feel at home at the Centre.
  • Performing booking procedures, registration of guests, managing check in and out.
  • Writing and presenting reservations and quotations to the guests.
  • Relating positively with guests by listening and responding to guests’ requests, handle guest complaints.
  • Answering inquiries and complaints and responding to their enquiries.
  • Coordinating the reception office e.g. typing and printing, managing office records, filing
  • Preparing cash records e.g. invoicing, giving regular guests reports to the management, photocopying e.t.c.
  • Keep a tidy and orderly work place.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. At least a diploma certificate from a recognized institution.
  2. At least a two year working experience in a hospitality environment or guest service role.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft office suite and other necessary computer programs.
  4. Written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Fluency in English and Swahili, other foreign languages e.g. French Germany e.t.c. would be an added advantage.
  6. Ability to maintain a positive and friendly attitude even under high pressure.
  7. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  8. Professional attitude and appearance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cooking food to the satisfaction of customers of Rosa Mystica under clean and hygienic environment.
  • Ensuring that food cooked reaches the waiters in the dining hall at the specified time. (Punctuality)
  • Preparing meals for clients with special diet.
  • Observing punctuality in all areas of operation.
  • Maintain privacy and cleanliness in the kitchen and surrounding areas.
  • Proper care of all kitchen equipment.
  • While on duty must be neat and presentable in full uniform at all times.
  • Collaborate at all times with fellow staff for smooth running of activities in the kitchen.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Certificate/ diploma from a recognized institution.
  2. At least 2years experience as a chef in similar institutions.
  3. Ability to create a variety of cooking styles and innovative recipes so as to maximize customer satisfaction and appealing meals.
  4. Ability to reduce wastage of resources in the kitchen i.e. equipment, ingredients, time, light, water e.t.c.
  5. Has the ability to create a conducive working relationship with fellow staff and others (a team player)
  6. Maximum age 35years.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overall cleanliness and upkeep of the guest house.
  • Cleaning guest rooms.
  • Making beds.
  • Replacing dirty linens and towels.
  • Keep all halls and public areas clean ready for functions and conferences.
  • Collecting guest laundry.
  • Hand over lost and found items in the rooms.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Must have attained form 4 level of education and attained a KCSE certificate.
  2. Good communication skills and public relations.
  3. At least two years’ experience in a similar institution.
  4. Relate well with associates and guests.
  5. Sufficient Knowledge of cleaning e.t.c; obey housekeeping rules to the letter.
  6. Dress professionally when on duty in line with the organization dress code.
  7. Ability to work outside schedule
  8. Reliable person, accountable for tools and equipment used.
  9. Maximum age limit is 35 years.
  10. Need to communicate effectively with associates and guests.
  11. Laundry Skills – To avoid damaging guests’ personal items and general linen.
  12. Honest and reliable- Must be a person of integrity.
